# Tags

Email personalization like Dear `{FirstName}` is email 101. 

But did you know there are _100_ other tags you can use? 

You can include any item from the contact record, including email metrics and when the contact was created.

To select a tag, use the _Personalize_ option in the pop-up editor or just place the tag anywhere in the email.

| Always send a test email to make sure the tags render as you expect.

The tags can be included anywhere in the email, on the subject line or on a link.

There are also _System_ tags that you can use.

 Here's a few examples: 

**Campaign informtaion:**

Campaign Title `{campaigntitle}`

Subjectline `{subjectline}`

PreHeader text: `{preheader}`

Campaign data: `{campid}-{segmentid}-{broadcastid}`

**Dates:**

The Year: `{YYYY}`

The Month name: `{mmmm}`

Today's Date: `{dd-mm-yyyy}`

Last day of the month: `{lastday}`


**Other Contact record tags**
Date contact created: `{createdon}`
Contact email: `{em}`

|| This tag handles the scenario when your list may include blank First names, replace the word Guest as appropriate: `{Firstname|Guest}`

Organization name: `{Organization}`

Address/Phone:
`{addressline1}`

Social handles:
