Add a countdown timer to your Shopify store

A countdown timer helps convery urgency; this plugin shows the days until Black Friday in the announcement bar.

1 Login to your store as admin eg store.myshopify/admin and select online store\themes

2 Next to the Customize button, click the 3 dots and click Edit code

3 In the search bar (top left) type footer and select footer.liquid

4 Scroll down until you see this tag </footer>

5 Just before it, add this line and click Save

Notes:

1 If you already have an announcement bar, it will add the timer as a 2nd line and keep your original message.

2 After BF, it transitions to a Christmas countdown.

3 The BF message will only show in October and upto the BF date in November.

4 The Christmas message will only show in December and stop after Dec 25.
