Reducing High Bounce Rates with Yahoo Contacts
Yahoo may delay delivery by 4 hours for unexpected spikes in volume from your domain, follow these steps:
1 Create a segment called Yahoo, tick split testing & select a batch size.
2 Select Segment rules then Custom and select Create a custom list (simple) then press OK.
3 Complete the form as shown below and click OK.
Note the asterisk before and after the word yahoo.
This will generate mutliple segments, we will be using them in Step 7.
4 Create a segment called All & tick Include everyone
5 Select options tab & tick Restricted/unique then press OK.
This will exclude the Yahoo segment you made earlier; this is an important step, do not skip.
6 Proceed to Step 3 of the campaign and Add a new broadcast.
Send to the All segment as normal.
7 Copy the broadcast & change the segment to the first Yahoo batch in Step 3.
Click the Schedule tab and set to one hour from now, repeat for each batch for every other hour.
Don't specify an even hour like 11am, this is a known Yahoo spam signal; instead use an odd number like 11:19am
